    Dude I have been hearing about how Gemini is going to save us from our sins for the last 3 months now. These guys way over hyped last time (https://techcrunch.com/2023/12/07/googles-best-gemini-demo-was-faked/) and they're just going to do the same thing again. Calling it now that it's going to be about the same at GPT-5.

    In general today, the complete lack of a basic instinct to not ‘lie at every turn’ is depressing. To me, if you want evidence that people CANNOT be trusted not to become cunts, there are two places to look; LinkedIn (the complete lack of humility, post something for engagement, anything to get the bag, ex-Google, ex-Netflix, ex-fuckshit, have no shame, anything to get the bag) and AI (‘these two 19 year olds dropped out of MIT to start “fizzbuzz”, an AI slop startup to solve X useless problem with AI, so they can go on a fun adventure and tell their friends they did YC). Like we just need salaries / valuations to halve so all the status-money-would-otherwise-be-in-finance-or-law-if-this-wasnt-so-lucrative cunts to go AWAY. Ok rant over.
